01 / The artist

Let's get it
right.

Aya is Thai, trained hard, and has spent seven years putting black into skin. She is covered in her own trade, so she knows exactly what you are weighing up, and she would rather take the time to get your piece right than rush you into something you settle for.

Heavy blackwork and tribal is where she is strongest: dense, saturated, built to flow with the limb. Ornamental and traditional colour after that. And when someone wants a soft little cartoon piece, she'll do that properly too, without the sneer you'd get elsewhere.

02 / What she does best

Three styles.
Done properly.

/ 01

Blackwork & tribal

Dense, saturated black. Half sleeves, panels, bold lettering. Packed solid in one pass so it heals flat instead of patchy, which is where most blackwork dies.

/ 02

Ornamental

Mandala, sternum and spine ornament, jewellery-style bands. Drawn to your frame and mapped on your skin, never traced off a template.

/ 03

Colour & cartoon

Traditional skulls and roses through to soft cartoon pieces. Colour packed properly so it still reads bright years later, not just on the day.

04 / What clients say

Word of mouth,
mostly.

“She told me my first idea was going to age badly and drew me something better. Glad she did.”

[Client name], Bloubergstrand

“Solid black, one pass, healed dead flat. I've had blackwork elsewhere that came out patchy. Not this.”

[Client name], Milnerton

“Flew down from Joburg for a full day with her. Would do it again tomorrow.”

[Client name], Johannesburg
